Introducing… The Stick to 6 Challenge!

To coincide with Salt Awareness Week, we’ve launched The Stick to 6 Challenge – urging the nation to track their salt intake over the course of 7 days, sticking to the maximum recommended amount of just 6g (or less) per day.

Did you know that the maximum recommended intake of salt is just 6g per day? That’s equivalent to just 1 teaspoon. Our mission at Season with Sense is to get the nation to take a look at their salt intake, to try and reduce high blood pressure and the associated risks.

That’s why we’ve launched The Stick to 6 Challenge – asking people to track their salt intake for 7 days to really understand just how easy it can be to exceed the recommended maximum of 6g a day.

We’re teamed up with Nutracheck – the food tracking app – for the challenge and they’re offering a free 7 day trial to people who wish to take part in the challenge. Nutracheck’s got an amazing database of UK foodstuffs and its smart functionality makes it so easy to see how much salt you are consuming. You’d be surprised just how many of your favourite foods are packed with secret salt!

We’re used to tracking our calories for weight loss, reading the nutrition labels for sugar quantities, using apps to monitor our sleep – but why are we burying our heads in the salt when it comes to sodium?

Eating too much salt can cause high blood pressure which can be extremely dangerous. High blood pressure can increase your risk of a heart attack or stroke and it’s known as the silent killer because there are often no symptoms.

So join The Stick to 6 Challenge and reduce your salt intake, for a healthier, happier future! Get your free 7 day trial with Nutracheck here: https://nutracheck.onelink.me/TRjA/LSST6
